The opportunity
University of the Arts London is seeking a strategic and creative marketer with a passion for higher education and the creative industries to help inspire and engage the next generation of artists, designers and innovators.
Based within the Student Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions department, you will help UAL achieve its student recruitment targets for pre-degree courses by engaging high-quality prospective students across both the UK and international markets. You will champion a first-class student journey, guiding audiences from initial enquiry to application and enrolment, while ensuring that our messaging remains clear, engaging and student focused.
Using audience insight and data, you will plan, deliver and evaluate effective multichannel marketing campaigns for pre-degree courses. A key part of the role involves optimising course web pages to support the student journey and increase applications, as well as identifying content gaps and recommending editorial and multimedia solutions that meet the needs of prospective pre-degree students.
The role also involves supporting the planning, delivery and evaluation of online and in-person recruitment events and activities, helping to engage domestic and international audiences and showcase UAL’s pre-degree provision in compelling and accessible ways, which will include weekend working for Open Days and other key recruitment activities.
Your profile
To be successful in this role, you will need a degree in marketing, communications, PR, advertising, media, branding or a related field, or be able to demonstrate equivalent professional experience. You will have a proven track record of delivering successful marketing campaigns, including paid search and social media advertising, and will be confident using website content management systems, SEO practices and CRM tools.
Experience in creating high-quality marketing content assets across print and digital formats is essential, alongside the ability to monitor and interpret campaign performance using tools such as Google Analytics and in-platform reporting. Experience of planning and delivering recruitment events for student audiences will also be key to success in this role.
You will be confident working across digital media and marketing channels, with a strong understanding of tracking technologies and analytics and a willingness to innovate in campaign development.
