The opportunity
Are you an experienced Audio Visual (AV) Technician with a passion for delivering exceptional AV experiences? Do you want to utilise your technical expertise within a creative, forward-thinking environment? We are looking for an AV Technicain to join us at London College of Fashion’s state-of-the-art East Bank campus.
As a key member of our technical team, you will draw on your technical proficiency and expertise to provide AV services across over >200 teaching, event, exhibition spaces and hybrid experiences. Our campus features an award winning, fully converged AV over IP design centred on flexibility and scalability. We also boast a flagship lecture theatre with an 11-metre DV LED display and a Sony Verona XR/Virtual Production research volume.
Your role will be key to ensuring the smooth operation of systems across all AV equipped spaces, contributing the successful delivery of learning and teaching activity, showcasing and live events. You will be part of the AV and Learning Technology teams, fielding and responding to requests and enquiries, escalating as required.
You will also contribute to the delivery of AV development projects, ensuring that services continue to meet the needs of our diverse and creative user base.
Your profile
You will be a highly motivated, confident and experienced user of AV systems with a good working knowledge of QSC Q-Sys, Audinate Dante , NDI based transport and endpoints . You will be highly profficient in delivering live streaming and hybrid events across platforms and software such as Microsoft Teams, Blackboard, YouTube, OBS and Vmix.
A good working knowledge of network topologies, principles, and protocols is essential, along with experience of operating and maintaining lecture capture systems such as Panopto or Echo360.
You will also demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills, along with a commitment to development within the role and associated skillsets.
