The opportunity
As our Finance Administrator, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of UAL Short Courses Ltd, part of University of the Arts London. You’ll be part of a dynamic and friendly finance team that supports the delivery of thousands of creative short courses each year, helping ensure smooth processes and accurate financial management.
In this varied and hands-on role, you’ll manage key areas of the Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger, processing invoices, payments, refunds, and journals. You’ll also handle company and agent bookings, liaise with suppliers, tutors, and students, and help ensure compliance with university finance procedures.
You’ll work closely with the Commercial Finance Manager & , Senior Finance Administrator, supporting projects, month-end duties, and continuous improvements to finance systems and processes. With the recent introduction of AccessPlanit, this is an exciting time to join the team as we streamline and modernise our financial operations.
This hybrid role offers a blend of home and on-site working across UAL locations, giving you the flexibility to balance focused independent work with collaborative team days.
Your profile
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven Finance Administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy and great service.
You’ll have:
▪️ Experience working in a finance, accounts, or administrative role.
▪️ A solid understanding of purchase and sales ledger processes.
▪️ Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
▪️ Confidence working with spreadsheets and finance systems (such as ABW, AccessPlanit, or similar).
▪️ The ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
▪️ Great communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
▪️ A proactive attitude, able to manage your workload and meet deadlines.
It would be great if you also have:
▪️ Experience in higher education or commercial training environments.
▪️ Knowledge of HEBCI data and reporting.
▪️ Familiarity with journal preparation and month-end processes.
