The opportunity

This technical teaching role within a dynamic Fine Art programme aligned to Bachelors and Masters Computational Arts.

Computational Arts at CCW encourages students to adapt and experiment with Fine Art practices enhanced by both computer-based and various tactile skills. This could include experimenting with physical computing, 3D software, programming languages, audio and moving image, VR/AR equipment, projection mapping and machine learning with AI. You will demonstrate experience in some of these areas as well as an interest in exploring these innovative technologies further as the industry grows.

Your profile

The role will require an adaptable, organised, technician who is good at communicating and genuinely loves sharing their knowledge with others. You will also have a genuine interest in coding and computing as a creative medium. In this role you will work collaboratively with tutors, technicians and other members of staff to deliver the technical provision required.

Should you have any questions about the role, please contact Danielle Royer, Studio Manager for Sculpture, Photography and Computational Arts / d.royer@arts.ac.uk.

Should you have any questions about the application process or require reasonable adjustments for your application, please contact Christine Crouch / jobs.ccw@arts.ac.uk.

Application process

We operate a fair and open anonymous selection process. Thus, you will need to create an account and submit an application through our job board. As part of this, you will need to provide a supporting statement/answer some competency questions to demonstrate your suitability. Our recruitment process involves: Application, Shortlisting, Interview and Assessment, Offer, Onboarding.

We understand the benefits of using AI in work. But, if you are thinking of using it to submit an application, we ask you to think about what value it adds. AI tools tend to lack the personal touch and authenticity we value in candidates. We encourage you to showcase your unique knowledge and skills using your own voice.

If we receive a high volume of applications, the closing day date might close early. We aim to communicate any changes to the closing date with at least 24 hours’ notice. If you have any general questions or have accessibility needs, please refer to our Contact us page.
