The opportunity
At the University of the Arts London (UAL), as a large provider of higher education, bringing together students from over 100 different countries., we currently house over 3700 students in 14 Halls of Residence located throughout London.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to deliver excellent customer services to enhance the student experience and to maintain the high-quality standard of accommodation on offer in the Halls of Residence.
This Part Time position is suitable for those looking for weekend based work.
You’ll get a chance to get involved in providing a first-class reception service including responding to face-to-face inquiries from building users, providing a meet-and-greet service for contractors, couriers and delivery drivers, visitors and guests, issuing permits to work, issuing keys, checking-in and departing as appropriate.
The role involves managing multiple inboxes, coordinating the post management system in place at the time and answer telephone queries.
The post holder also would performing a range of administrative tasks at halls as directed in order to facilitate the delivery of services focusing on the needs and demands of customers to provide a service level consistent with student expectations, contracts, regulation and policies not limited to termly room inspections, regular kitchen inspections, participation in fire drills and the departures & arrivals programmes.
About you
To be considered for this role you will need to have corporate reception experience coupled with a professional and compassionate approach to providing outstanding customer service.
Our ideal candidate would be able to maintain professional etiquette in person and in writing, forwarding or escalating queries and have experience in diary, meetings and events management.
Experience in supporting financial processes such as placing orders, processing invoices, closing purchase orders, monitoring arrears, and delivering student debt letters, witnessing the service of notices would be useful for this role.
Provision of analytics for periodic reporting on statutory compliance, health & safety and maintenance would also be useful to bring to this role.
