The opportunity
University of the Arts London (UAL) is looking to recruit 10+ Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTA) for the BA Architecture or the M-Arch Architecture courses at Central Saint Martins (CSM).
This is a varied role that may involve:
- Mentoring current students by sharing their experiences of understanding briefs, developing creative processes and demonstrating how their work meets assessment requirements and learning outcomes.
- Undertaking the sole delivery of small group teaching (e.g. seminars) and contributing to the joint delivery (with senior academic staff) of lectures.
- Assisting more experienced academic and technical staff in the maintenance of proper conduct in studios and workshops.
GTAs play an important role in assisting students to develop their practical skills as well as building a sense of community in the studios and helping students to see how parts of the courses connect together.
