Gain valuable skills and earn a recognised qualification through the Education Technician Level 3 apprenticeship. This program will equip you with the expertise to excel in your role and open doors for future career growth. Subject to successful completion of your apprenticeship, you’ll have an opportunity to secure a permanent position within our team.
Our 3D workshops are a hub for a diverse range of fabrication processes, including wood, plastics, metal, ceramics, using traditional and digital methods of fabrication. Whether you’ve nurtured a lifelong hobby or excelled in related subjects like BTEC or A-level, we’re seeking individuals with a passion for creating, learning, and supporting others.
Our workshops serve students across Fine Art, Design and Performance. We’re keen to discover your making strengths, interests, and aspirations. What excites you? What are you skilled at? What do you want to learn next? Share your passion with us in your application!
About you
To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you do not need to have any prior Higher Education qualifications but a genuine interest in making and prototyping is essential. You must also meet the full apprenticeship eligibility criteria which can be found on the FAQ’s of our apprenticeships careers site including having been ordinarily resident in the UK for the last 3 years.
You’ll be required to hold a right to work in the UK for the duration of your apprenticeship. UAL cannot act as a sponsor for any visa applications. If you have good communication skills, coupled with strong planning, organising and teamwork skills, we encourage you to explore this role further.

We are holding an online session for you to meet the team, find out more about the opportunity and ask any questions you may have on Thursday August 22nd at 12:00 noon. Please sign up via this link to the event page. We are also running an open morning at Camberwell College of Art for anyone interested in seeing the workshop. Places are limited so we encourage you to sign up here.
Please note that the first interview will be conducted in person, in our workshop, where candidates will participate in a hands-on competency test to demonstrate their skills and proficiency in 3D workshop techniques. This is planned for the morning of September 6th.

In-person workshop tour: 10:00 – 13:00 Friday 23rd August (drop in)

In person competency test: Friday 6th September
