The opportunity
Are you passionate about sustainability and data-driven change? Join us and use your data reporting expertise to help achieve our ambitious net zero goals. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive institutional change and positively impact the University community and the environment.
As the Head of Sustainability Data and Reporting, you will support UAL’s net zero and social purpose ambitions. You will develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability data strategy, collaborating with colleagues across the University to meet our data and reporting needs. Representing the Data & Planning Team on the Net Zero Working Group, you will explore data requirements, identify gaps, and propose innovative solutions. Your leadership will drive the cross-institutional team to achieve our net zero targets, ensuring a just transition that integrates social justice and biodiversity considerations.
About you
We seek a visionary leader with a proven track record in developing and implementing data strategies, particularly in the context of sustainability and net zero goals. You should have extensive experience with large datasets, data management, and data analytics, including proficiency in tools such as SQL and Power BI. A strong understanding of data architecture, warehousing, and governance is essential, along with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Experience with sustainability metrics, carbon accounting, and environmental impact assessments is crucial. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences are a must.
