The opportunity

Are you a creative visionary with a passion for storytelling and social change? The AKO Storytelling Institute at the University of the Arts London (UAL) is seeking an innovative Producer to bring our dynamic programmes to life. This is your opportunity to shape impactful narratives that inspire and drive social transformation.

As a Producer for the AKO Storytelling Institute, you will be at the helm of our diverse range of activities, from conceptualisation to delivery. Your role is pivotal in programming and producing events, labs, courses, and our prestigious Fellowship programme. By effectively managing these initiatives, you will help us explore and amplify the profound links between storytelling and societal change. Collaboration is key, and you will work closely with our team, fellows, and external partners to ensure every event meets the highest standards of quality and creativity. Your expertise in production and communication will be crucial in conveying our message to a wide array of audiences.

About you

We are seeking an organised and innovative professional with a proven track record in production and communications. Your ability to manage multiple projects under pressure and your knack for translating ideas into engaging events will set you apart. Experience in budget management and technical production is essential. A background in creative producing or events management, coupled with a deep understanding of the storytelling landscape, will make you a perfect fit for this role.

If you have any queries about this role or need any reasonable adjustments for your application, please contact Becky Hatch, Resourcing Adviser via email at Socialpurposestaffrecruitment@arts.ac.uk.

As part of this, you will need to provide a supporting statement/answer some competency questions to demonstrate your suitability. Our recruitment process involves: Application, Shortlisting, Interview and Assessment, Offer, Onboarding.

We understand the benefits of using AI in work. But, if you are thinking of using it to submit an application, we ask you to think about what value it adds.
