Join our dedicated team as a Sunday Library Assistant (term time only, 38 weeks per year) at London College of Fashion, Stratford. In this role, you will be part of a friendly weekend team committed to delivering high-quality, student-focused library services.

As a key member of our team, you will provide essential front-line services, support self-issue systems, IT, and printing, and assist users with library catalogue navigation and electronic information resources. Additionally, you will handle online enquiries via our live chat service, ASK, and participate in shelving activities while adhering to manual handling guidelines when lifting heavy items.

Work Schedule

This permanent position requires working Sundays during the academic term and a few additional hours throughout the year. The specific schedule is:

  • During BA Term Time (31 weeks): Sundays from 09:45 to 20:15
  • Outside BA Term Time (4 weeks): Sundays from 09:45 to 16:15
  • Additional Hours: To be agreed upon for weekday openings, staff training, and development.

You will be based at LCF Stratford, though occasional work at other UAL libraries may be required.

About you

We are looking for someone with relevant experience in a library or customer service environment and formal training to post-16 level. While knowledge and experience within a Higher Education institution is desirable, it is not essential.

Please note, you are expected to work all term-time weekends, and there is no leave allowance as this is factored into your pay. Additionally, there is no option for home/remote working in this role.
