The opportunity

Are you a proven HR Business Partner who loves supporting the strategic delivery of HR services? Would you like to work in a diverse client group and department? Are you looking to advance your HR career within a world leading organisation undergoing an exciting period of change?

We are seeking a proven Senior HR Business Partner to support the delivery of an exceptional HR service and play a key role in deploying our long-term People Strategy.

You will lead on business partnering work within a designated client group, inspire and coach other HR Business Partners, playing an integral part of the People Department, working under the overall direction of the Associate Director of HR (Business Partnering).

The core purpose is to work closely with specific client groups to focus on:

  • Organisational and people capability building
  • Longer term resource and talent management planning
  • Using business insights to drive change in people management practices
  • Leading and advising on the people implications of organisation change

About you

We value the diverse experiences candidates bring to UAL. Our people come from a variety of sectors and therefore applications are open to those both with and without previous experience of working in the higher education sector. Most important will be your demonstrable business partnering experience gained within a comparable sized organisation.

CIPD qualified or equivalent, you will bring to the role a working knowledge of contemporary approaches to business planning, organisational design, workforce planning, strategic resourcing, capability management, change management, and employee engagement. You will have experience and understanding of organisational design as well as experience of leading change.

You will be an effective communicator with strong coaching skills who relishes the opportunity to be at the forefront of change and continuously adapt accordingly.
